On June 27th, 2015 NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) opened up a memorial, Forever Remembered, in the remembrance of the Space Shuttles Columbia and Challenger, and their crews. Each lost crew member has their own memorial with items that he/she cherished as well as a photograph and an explanation of the crew and their belongings. KSC could not have remembered the crew and

KSC could not have remembered the crew and spacecrafts in a more perfect way.

I want to keep this short and simple not expressing too many details for it is something I cannot explain. This is one exhibit that is a must see in person.

However, I will say, walking through the memorial myself, my heartstrings were definitely pulled taught. Somber music was playing in the background and footage was rolling. Seeing the panel and windshield brought me back to realize, even more, that space is a hard business.

Life is so cherished and these brave astronauts risked it all for exploration.

My heart and condolences goes out to each of the crew members and their families.

 Godspeed.
